This booklet contains a transcription of the surviving birth and death registers relating to the Brixworth Union.  The Brixworth Poor Law Union was formed on 9 July 1835 and initially comprised the parishes of Boughton, Brington, Brixwoth, Chapel Brampton, Church Brampton, Coton, Cottesbrook, Draughton, East Haddon, Faxton, Great Creaton, Guilsborough, Hanging Houghton, Hannington, Harlestone, Haselbeach, Holcot, Holdenby, Hollowell, Lamport, Little Creaton, Maidwell, Moulton, Old, Pitsford, Ravensthorpe, Scaldwell, Spratton, Teeton and Walgrave [all Northamptonshire].  Cold Ashby, Naseby and Thornby were added on 21 April 1836, Overstone on 29 September 1849, Althorpe and Moulton Park on 25 December 1861 and Mawsley on 25 March 1862.

This booklet contains a miscellany of records relating to the Hardingstone Poor Law Union.  These include registers of births in the workhouse between 1838 and 1874 and 1915 to 1922, registers of deaths in the workhouse between 1836 and 1874 and 1898 to 1925, a Pauper Lunatic Examination Book for the years 1875 to 1915, and Indoor Relief Lists for the Quarter ending Christmas 1836 and the Half Years ending September 1865 and September 1917.  The Hardingstone Poor Law Union was formed on 20 July 1835 and initially comprised the parishes of Brafield on the Green, Castle Ashby, Cogenhoe, Collingtree, Courteenhall, Denton, Great Houghton, Hardingstone, Horton, Little Houghton, Milton Malsor, Piddington with the hamlet of Hackleton, Preston Deanery, Quinton, Roade, Rotherthorpe, Whiston, Wootton and Yardley Hastings [all Northamptonshire].  Far Cotton [Northamptonshire] was added in 1895.
